Students will simplify up to 24 algebraic expressions using Google™ Sheets to reveal up to 2 unique pixel arts (one per level). This activity is suitable for simple combining like terms practice with up to 4 terms (x terms and constants). Distributive property will not be used in this novice level for simplifying expressions.

With 2 levels of differentiation, teachers have the flexibility to assign just 1 level based on individual student needs or use both levels as a review.

TWO levels provide easy differentiation.

Level 1: Positive Whole Numbers Only (12 problems)

Level 2: Integers Only (12 problems)

Also includes printable problems page for student work.

Correct answers will be indicated by the text color changing from red to black with a green highlight and students will be rewarded with colored pixels appearing in the mystery image.

Incorrect answers will be indicated by the text color staying red and colored pixels will not be rewarded.

This resource works well as independent practice, collaborative practice, homework, extra credit or even as an assignment to leave for the substitute!
