Only positive integers are used in this resource to allow students to focus on solving algebraic equations with inverse operations without adding the complexity of decimals, fractions and negative numbers. Three levels provide easy differentiation.
Level 1: One-Step Equations
Level 2: Two-Step Equations
Level 3: Multi-Step Equations
(Note: This differentiated resource is designed for each student to complete just one of the three levels as the pixel art image and answers are the same on every level in order to minimize student awareness of which levels their peers are working on.)
Correct answers will be indicated by the text color changing from red to black with a green highlight and students will be rewarded with colored pixels appearing in the mystery image.
Incorrect answers will be indicated by the text color staying red and colored pixels will not be rewarded.
