Linear Functions: Multiple Representations Card Sort Activity
Great activity to reinforce multiple representations of linear functions. Students will group a Linear Equation (y = mx + b) with it’s Table of Values, Graph, Mapping and Ordered Pairs. There are 16 equations provided on a separate student recording sheet with an example of how to group the multiple representations. This is an excellent activity for independent practice using the graphing calculator for support.
Activity is best completed in collaborative groups. Allow time for cutting and pasting answers onto the student recording sheet.
