Linear Equations: Writing in Slope-Intercept Form and Standard Form from a Graph
Students will match 24 linear inequalities (12 Slope-Intercept Form, 12 Standard Form) with graphs. Students will check the slope of the line, y-intercept, solid vs. dashed lines, and shading above vs. below the line to determine a match. This resource reinforces the subtle differences in the graphs resulting from different inequality symbols. Notes formatted for interactive notebooks included. 12 of the 24 inequalities requires students to rewrite the inequality from standard to slope-intercept form, some requiring a “flip” in the inequality symbol when solving. Works well as independent practice, homework and/or extra credit.
