VALENTINES DAY Math Percent of a Number Google Sheets Digital Pixel Art Activity

Students will find the missing value of up to 28 problems using percent proportion/percent equation given the part & whole, the percent & whole or the part & percent in this Google Sheets digital pixel art activity. Problems are written in the following format:

“What is ____ % of ____?”

“____ is _____ % of what number?”

“What percent is _____ of _____?”

“____ % of what number is _____?”

“_____ is what percent of _____?”

With 2 levels of differentiation, teachers have the flexibility to assign just 1 level based on individual student needs or use both levels.

TWO levels provide easy differentiation.

Level 1: Round the nearest whole number. (12 problems)

Level 2: Round the nearest tenth. (16 problems)

Correct answers will be indicated by the text color changing from red to black with a green highlight and students will be rewarded with colored pixels appearing in the mystery image.

Incorrect answers will be indicated by the text color staying red and colored pixels will not be rewarded.

This resource works well as independent practice, collaborative practice, homework, extra credit or even as an assignment to leave for the substitute!
