Two Step Equations: Students demonstrate their understanding of solving two step equations by showing the work to connect each of the twelve problem with their given solutions. This self-checking exercise provides students with immediate feedback. You can also pair students for this activity and when a student discovers that their work did not lead to the correct answer, instruct them to ask their partner to find the mistake in their work which will add an error analysis element to your lesson.
