Valentines Day Algebra | Math Graphing Quadratics | Transformations 3D Ornament
OBJECTIVE: Students will determine the effects on the graph of the parent function f(x) = x2 when f(x) is replaced by af(x), f(x) + d, f(x – c), f(bx) for specific values of a,b,c, and d
STANDARDS:
TEKS: A.7(C)
CCSS: HSF-BF.B.3
ACTIVITY: Students will practice graphing quadratic transformations given the equation to create festive 3D ornaments. This activity provides students with multiple options to allow for differentiated student assignments. This activity works well as a review of graphing transformations.
Hang the ornaments around the room and show off your students’ work while decorating your classroom for the season of love!
Answer Keys provided!
